What is the iTunes error (9)? The iTunes error (9) normally appears when your iPad won't restore persistently. As to why it happens, the reasons are varied. It can occur because of a problem with the computer you connect your device to, the USB cable you use to connect the device and even a hardware or software failure on your device. Now vipfix will introduce another reason and the solution, that is NAND FLASH power supply or NAND FLASH itself is damaged.(1-1) Fix Process: 1. Judging from my repair experience, if it reports unknown error (9), NAND FLASH power supply or NAND FLASH itself is damaged. First measure each power supply of NAND FLASH. They are normal. Next, remove NAND FLASH and deal with the solder tin and black glue, as shown in picture 1-2. 2. Assemble the removed NAND FLASH on a workable motherboard to root. It still reports unknown error (9). I can be sure that the NAND FLASH is faulty. Put new NAND FLASH on NAND FLASH testing jig to find out the information and series number. The software operation interface of NAND test fixture(W004) is shown in picture 1-3. Then solder the NAND FLASH with information and series number and on motherboard, as shown in picture 1-4. 3. Connect computer to root, as shown in picture 1-5. 4. It is activated and gets into IOS system normally, as shown in picture 1-6. Test all the functions. They are normal. Trouble is removed.

As we all know, the rework station are essential tools for phone repair. The rework station can used to remove/replace CPU/BGA /ICS from cell phone, which is the removal of solder and components from a circuit board for troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and salvage. If you want to work better with rework station, you need to know the following tips. Considerations for use
1. when you heating the CPU/BGA, you must control the temperaturn, usually it is between 300 degrees to 400 degrees. If it is an analog one having no indicator or display having just knobs, the knob of heat is kept on 3.5 setting. 2. you must carefully to setting the air, usually it is kept on a litter above the minimum. If more air is used, it may damage or remove the neighboring parts and if no air is used, it may lead the coil inside the handle to burn. So you have to keep it to a setting so that a little bit of air is coming out along with the heat. Both of this need to base on your job and the situation, and then ou choose the best one for your job. The related tools: 1. solder flux: it is applied at the edges of the IC before heating or removing an IC in order to PCB BGA paint prevent corrosive arcing. 2. solder wick: it is a phone motherboard repair connection cables, also widely used in electrical and electronics, solder parts like circuit board, electronics devices and others. 3. solder iron 4. Tweezers Operation when you are ready for everything, you need to turn on the rework station, move its handle such that the tip where the heat comes out in a circular motion inside the edges of the IC. If you just want to heat IC, keep moving 2 to 3 times. If you want to replace it, keep on moving till the IC loosens from the board and then lift it with tweezers. Note: 1. Do not try to pluck it out forcefully if it hasn’t loosened as it may damage the points below on the board. 2. If you are not professional, it’s better to practice on broken circuit boards and see more videos of professionals on youtube before you start to work. 3. Recommend a 3-IN-1 Infrared BGA Rework Station: SMD Hot Air Gun + 540W Preheating Station + 75W Soldering Irons,it's good for professional repair staff. A customer said that his iPhone 6 Plus' s 3/4 solder joints have been dropped when he had the storage expanded. After jumping wire and rooting, iTunes reported error 4005 and screen displayed white Apple logo. Now vipfix will help you. Hoping you can benifit from it. Repair Process: 1. When I receive the motherboard, it has no NAND Flash and many jumping wires on PCB with Flux Oil Paste, as shown in picture 1-1. 2. After observing the outer looks of the motherboard, I use multimeter to measure the diode data of all the solder joints and they all have data. But, comparing these data with that I get from my previous repair cases (picture 1-2), I find that pin G5 should be about 700 and J5 should be about 500 (notice: different multimeter shows different data). While these two joints is about 700. The two data should not be the same. I guess that someone must jump the wrong wire. 3. As shown in picture 1-3, when scratch the Flux Oil Paste carefully, I find that there is a wire and a via. Measure its diode data. The data of wire is about 700 while the data of via is about 500. Now I can be sure that the customer has jumped the wrong wire. 4. Re-jump the wire and paint Flux Oil Paste. Measure the diode data of pin J5. It is about 500. In case of other problems, measure the diode data of all the solder joints again and find other two joints that are jumped the wrong wire. Fix them one by one. Although that costs me a quarter, it is useful.
5. After assembling the NAND Flash, root it again. The screen still displays white Apple loge without the progress bar. But iPhone now can recognize NAND Flash because it shows white Apple loge in seconds. I presume that CPU is pseudo soldering or the board is disconnected. Considering the stability of whole iPhone, after discussing with customer, I use the other workable motherboard to replace the original one. Trouble is removed. When your iPhone screen is black, you can' t answer the call when it ringing. Or you need call somebody, send a message, but it does not work. You’ve tried resetting your iPhone, letting it run out of battery and plugging it back in, and your iPhone screen is still black. In this article, vipprog will explain that waht you can do to fix it. Repair Process: 1. Tear it down and energize the motherboard. The adjustable power supply displays 1.7V current that is short circuit and the adjustable power supply voltage is pulled down to 3.4V. The whole motherboard gets hot, especially the main power drive chip. 2. Deenergize it and measure the power supply of each circuit at motherboard through multimeter, find that the power supply of PP3V0_NAND of EEPROM is short circuit to ground and the resistance data is 0. The test points of PP3V0_NAND are shown in picture 1-2. 3. If you like you can measure the arrow-pointing capacitor in picture 1-3. 4. As this 3V voltage is parallelly connected many capacitors. It will take long to tear them one by one. Thus we use burn-in method to find the short circuit point. Put rosin on motherboard and set the adjustable power supply to 3V. Adjust the current limit to the lowest. Connect the negative pole of adjustable power supply to ground and connect the positive pole to the short circuit point. Then energize it. Slowly turn the current button of adjustable DC power supply to increase the current limit. The place that rosin melts fastest is faulty. The inductor that is connected with PP3V0_NAND melts when the current is 3A. Therefore, this inductor is short circuit. Deenergize it and remove this inductor, as shown in picture 1-4. 5. After removing this inductor and plugging adjustable power supply, it is not short circuit. IPhone can get into IOS normally. Remove a inductor from the same place of the accessories pad to replace the old one. Trouble is removed. Because customer set the password and it has important information, I have to send it without testing other functions.
Everyone can come across this situation that the smartphone dropped into pool, sea or closestool. At this time you shouldn't upset and angry, because it is useless.
